About Us
In 2013, five young friends formed Musht Samaj Sewa Samiti, whose objective is to ‘empower marginalized communities in such a way that they can get their fundamental and constitutional rights and lead a dignified life.’

We started working on livelihoods programs with young adults and adolescents, but quickly realized that fully realizing our goals meant taking a more holistic approach. Thus, we began to grow our programs to different age groups and focus areas.

The organization works with marginalized communities in the Khandwa district of Central India. Our current projects are centered around the Korku community, many of whom are forced to migrate from their ancestral villages due to unemployment and lack of quality education.

Our core philosophy is that our organization should be made up and run by the communities it serves, and thus, most of our employees are from local villages and many are graduates of our programs.
Our team has been working with this community for the past 10 years, attempting to empower its members through education and livelihood projects, as well as through connecting them to government schemes. In the process, we also seek to spread awareness around constitutional duties and values to improve quality of life.
